This week's inspiration: #basicsbutnotbasic. I been loving the idea of simple styling with the addition of neutrals. Including simple looks paired with a sexy, peek-a-boo stylish bra. Bra inspiration is next to come! 

I never liked the term "basic" to describe a "typical white girl" but I am digging the simple styling. Whenever I heard someone call another basic because they enjoy a nice pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks while picking pumpkins at a pumpkin farm --  I want to question them and be like how do you not enjoy PSL while spending time with your family at a pumpkin farm!? There is no need to classify one another. We are who we are, basic or not. 

Despite that though, I feel the need to start turning my wardrobe around to those grey, black, white, stripes, camel simple silhouettes including interesting black/white lacey bras with interesting straps. Are we calling for a wardrobe turn around?! I think so. I'm calling for a next styling trend!

Washed up - this river used to be my go to when I was younger complaining about teenage problems. It is weird to look back at the river and think nothing of it. The older you get the quicker things change. This river is now a hangout for trouble and I was a little hesitant to spend time shooting this photo. But the outcome made it all worth it.

The middle of winter - spring is approaching faster than we all know it. I caught myself looking at #spring hostages on Tumblr reminacing of lush green fields and fresh cut flowers. I always get on this kick around this time when I should just slow down and embrace the cold air.

All about that mod mock, all about that mod! As I sing to the tune of All About that Bass. Such a beautiful Wednesday to bring in the new super moon in Aquarius! All about those new beginnings and expecting the unexpected. If a door closes, jump out that window! Key focuses of today. 

I am loving the feel of basics - but not to confuse you to becoming a basic girl. I love the idea of mock necks in the middle of winter paired with wide open backs. Obsessed with wide brim hats - even though they have been in season for ages. But it is a basic that will never get old. A nice, wide-brimmed black hat. Love to halo it or to wear it straight on. Never can go wrong.
